Looking Back:
Now that they've got their pokédexs and rivals, Brendan and May are ready to begin their pokémon journey. May's family already knows she's going, since it was her dad's idea and all, but Brendan hadn't told his family about it yet. His dad doesn't know because he's always off at his gym so Brendan never sees him. And his mom? Hard to tell if she doesn't care or just isn't really paying attention. Possibly both. As usual, she's up in Brendan's room playing video games. Maybe she's really pretending to ignore him in order to mask the pride and sadness of seeing her son grow up and leave home...or maybe she figures that with him gone there'll be less things to distract her from her games. |
