| Looking Back: And the battle continues... Brendan gets his first introduction to status ailments here, namely paralyze. In the games paralyzed pokémon get slowed down (their turn always comes after their opponent's regardless of their speed stats) and each turn there's a chance that they'll be completely paralyzed and unable to do anything. Meanwhile, May points out that, aside from doing damage, mud slap has a chance of lowering the target's accuracy. There are quite a lot of moves that have a chance of lowering a certain stat in addition to doing damage but you'll be seeing more of them later on so I'm not going to go in-depth about it here. Of all the two on two battles I've done in Pebble Version, this one was probably the easiest, despite being in Paint. For one thing, there's no mini-dex, which takes a surprising amount of work to make, plus the attack effects are pretty simple, although they still manage to look fairly good. |
