Looking Back:
You have to wonder how many challengers the various pokémon gyms actually receive. In the games, you usually don't see any other than your character and rival. And the Pokémon Adventures manga, it makes a point of mentioning that the gym badges are actually really rare and valuable (not something many people get their hands on). On the other hand, if they existed in real life, you'd almost expect a constant stream of challengers. |
