Looking Back:
I don't actually remember what I was thinking when I made this strip. In the game, all the trainers look at you when you fight, so I didn't get this joke from there. Hmm... My best guess is that I didn't actually have a sprite for her facing in any other directions. See, back then, there weren't a lot of Pokémon sprite sheets available online so I had to rip all my own sprites from the games and getting certain poses was difficult, or required progressing a whole lot further into the games, so sometimes I just had to make do. |
