#365 The problem with identical clones
First Comic Previous Comic Next Comic Today's Comic
Looking Back:
In most cases, transform is fairly useless in the games since it is mainly used by ditto and ditto's stats aren't especially great. So you've got two pokémon with identical types and moves (most of which don't work well against each other) fighting, but one has notably weaker stats. However, they eventually added some special ditto exclusive hold items that, when used properly, can actually give ditto a fighting chance, at least in some battles. I actually have a battle-ready ditto as part of my team (well, a sub-member anyway). All that said, mew is generally the better transform user thanks to its solid all-around stats. In a match-up like the one in this strip, mew would win.
