Looking Back:
It's nice to see gym leaders helping out local trainers... Or it would be if they actually did the work themselves. So why go to the gym for a pokémon? Sure there are the friendly professors who always seem to have a few starting pokémon and pokédexs lying around, ready for whatever kid wants them. But there's only one such professor per region and they always live in small towns surrounded by tall grass, which would make it very difficult for most would be trainers to go and visit them. And, seeing as the Pokémon world doesn't seem to have any pet stores, gyms would be the logical place to go. |
