#52 Two motion blurs!!!
First Comic Previous Comic Next Comic Today's Comic
Looking Back:
And here's May's motion blur, took me nearly as long to make as Brendan's did. Now that I have Photoshop, however, they go a lot faster. The problem with full panel motion blurs, as cool as they may look, is that they take up a whole panel. So when I use them for multiple characters there isn't much room left for the rest of the strip. I find ways around this later, such as putting multiple motion blurs into one panel. Back when I did this strip, however, I didn't think about that plus I wanted to show off May's blur. As a result, it's probably not one of the best jokes. However, this strip does point out one interesting fact, characters can actually see the motion blurs, they aren't just there to make things look cool for the readers of the comic.
