Looking Back:
Brendan, now with a little battle experience, manages to track down May. First thing she wants is to have a battle which really isn't all that strange when you consider that having a pokémon battle seems to be the normal way to great a fellow pokémon trainer. Of course, in the real world, if someone asks you if you want to battle a pokémon fight probably isn't the first thing to come to mind. This strip also shows that, although May is usually nice, she can get annoyed and/or angry at shows of incompetence or stupidity. She gets more tolerant fairly quickly (no doubt due to Brendan's frequent questions) but can still get angry if pushed too far. Fortunately for everyone else, most situations tend to get taken care of before reaching that point. |
