And it's the first appearance of the gym advice guy, the one who gives you extremely basic tips about the coming gym then acts like your eventual victory is all thanks to him. Maybe new players find him helpful? You also have to wonder, if he supposedly knows so much, why he doesn't challenge the gyms himself. I mean, considering how he manages to get to all of them ahead of you, he must at least have a pokémon with fly. But I suppose standing around at the entrance of gyms is easier than actually training pokémon and challenging them. |
