Looking Back:
Ah, slakoth. Its design is clearly based on a sloth and, unfortunately, so is it's ability. Aside from having a lousy speed stat, slakoth have an ability that basically causes them to skip every other turn, making them extremely annoying to use in battle. You can sort of get around it by using moves that require two turns anyway (like hyper beam). Or, even better, you could try and swap abilities with your opponent. But over all, slakoth is really a pain in the neck to use in battle. It's not magikarp, but it's certainly not something you'd want to keep in your party as you play through the game. And in Pebble Version, if anything, they're even more lethargic, something I make fun of on a few occasions. |
